Lemera Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Lemera is provided by Meroviq. For privacy questions, contact lemera@meroviq.com.
2. Information processed in Lemera
Depending on how you use Lemera, the app may process the following information. Except for messages you voluntarily send to us, this information is not collected on a Meroviq server.
| Category | Examples and purpose | Where it is processed |
|---|---|---|
| Current group and participant data | Group title, host/member role, local participant identifiers, display name or alias, profile/avatar information if used, current roster, sharing/block state, and active-session identifiers. | On participating devices for the current group. Lemera does not maintain a Meroviq cloud account or cloud group database. |
| Join and local network data | Local Wi-Fi hotspot details needed to join the group, such as SSID/passphrase, host local IP address, ports, and connection/session information. | Displayed, scanned, or exchanged locally between devices participating in the current group. |
| Photos and photo-sharing metadata | Photos captured in Lemera, photos received from other current group participants, photo identifiers, eligible recipients, delivery state, and short-lived backlog/control metadata needed to complete local sharing. | Photos are transferred directly between current group devices over the local connection and saved to device Photos/Gallery as applicable. They are not uploaded to a Meroviq photo server. |
| Block state | Whether two participants have blocked sharing. Blocking stops new photo sharing in both directions. Previously shared photos remain, and photos captured while blocked are not retroactively shared after unblocking. | Processed for the current active group and its sharing flow. |
| Reports within the current group | Report reason, the locally identified participant or content being reported, session/roster validation information, and duplicate-prevention state. | A report about a member is sent over the existing local connection to the current Host for group-level moderation. Report state is kept in memory for the current group and is cleared when the group ends. Reports are not uploaded to a Meroviq moderation server. |
| Support messages you send | If you contact us at lemera@meroviq.com, we receive the email address and message content you choose to send. | Processed through the applicable email service only if you contact us. |
3. Local sharing, blocking, and reporting
Lemera is designed for temporary, invite-based local groups rather than a public social feed. Photos are shared only among participants in the current group over the local device connection.
Blocking a participant stops new photo sharing between the two participants in both directions. Existing photos already shared remain on the relevant devices. Photos captured during a block are not sent later merely because the block is removed. Either participant may later unblock sharing where the app provides that control.
A participant can report another participant or content in the current group. Reports about members are delivered locally to the current Host, who may keep the participant, block sharing, or remove the participant from the group. If the Host is the subject of a report, the report is not sent back to that Host; the reporting member can block the Host locally and may leave the group. Reports are session-scoped and are cleared when the group ends.
4. Information we do not collect
The current Lemera app does not require a Meroviq user account or sign-in and does not use a Meroviq cloud backend for photo storage, group history, reports, or identity. It does not use advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs and does not intentionally collect contacts, microphone recordings, health information, government identifiers, payment card numbers, advertising identifiers, or precise geographic coordinates.
Lemera does not maintain past-group photo indexes or historical group records in a Meroviq cloud service. Photos already saved to a participant's device may remain there under that participant's control after the group ends.
5. Device permissions
Lemera requests operating-system permissions only as needed for the features you use:
- Camera — to capture photos and scan a Host QR code.
- Photos / Gallery — to save captured or received photos as supported by the operating system. Older Android versions may require legacy storage permission for saving.
- Nearby Wi-Fi Devices (supported newer Android versions) — to create or use the local group connection. This permission is not used by Lemera to determine your geographic location.
- Location (certain older Android versions) — Android may require location permission to create or manage a local Wi-Fi hotspot. Lemera uses this permission only to satisfy the operating-system requirement for the local connection and is not designed to determine, collect, store, or share your precise geographic location.
- Wi-Fi / network state and Internet/network access — to create or join the local connection and exchange join, control, report, and photo-sharing traffic between current group devices. Lemera does not use this permission to upload group photos or reports to a Meroviq cloud backend.
You can change permissions in device settings. Denying a required permission may prevent the related feature from working.
6. How information is used
- to create and join the current local group;
- to display the current roster and participant profile information;
- to capture, save, send, and receive photos within the current group;
- to enforce Block/Unblock sharing state;
- to deliver session-scoped reports to the current Host and allow group-level moderation;
- to end or leave the current group and clear temporary session state; and
- to respond if you email us.
7. Sharing and disclosure
Meroviq does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
When you participate in a Lemera group, information needed for the group experience may be shared directly with other current participants, including your display information, photos you share, local participant/session identifiers, and control information necessary to operate the group. This is device-to-device sharing initiated by participation in the local group, not a Meroviq cloud upload.
Session-scoped reports are shared locally with the current Host as described above. They are not sent to a Meroviq moderation server.
If you email us, we may use the information to respond to your inquiry and may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect rights and safety.
8. Precise location
Lemera does not share your current precise physical location with other users. On certain older Android versions, location permission may be required by Android for LocalOnlyHotspot or related local Wi-Fi functionality. Lemera does not use that permission to create a location history, determine your precise coordinates for app features, or transmit precise location to group participants or Meroviq.
9. International processing
Meroviq does not operate a Lemera cloud database that receives group photos, local group metadata, or session reports. Local group sharing remains between participating devices on the local connection. If you email us, the email service provider involved may process the message in other countries according to its own privacy practices.
10. Retention
Current-group session information is kept only as needed to operate the active group. Lemera is not designed to retain past-group session metadata, runtime projections, historical group photo indexes, or report history after the group ends.
Reports are held in memory for the current group and are cleared when the group ends.
Photos saved to Photos/Gallery can remain on the relevant participant's device until that participant deletes them. Meroviq does not keep a server copy of those group photos.
If you email us, we may retain the correspondence as needed to respond to your request, maintain support records, protect our rights, and comply with applicable law.
11. Your choices
You can control participation by joining or leaving a group, use Block/Unblock to control new photo sharing with another participant, and delete saved photos through your device's Photos/Gallery app.
A Host can take group-level actions in response to a report, including blocking sharing or removing a participant. A member who reports the Host can block the Host locally and may leave the group.
Because Lemera does not have a Meroviq user account or cloud photo storage, there is no Meroviq cloud account deletion process for the current app. To exercise applicable privacy rights regarding information Meroviq actually holds, such as an email you sent us, contact lemera@meroviq.com.
12. Security
Lemera's current group sharing uses local network connections between participating devices. The current implementation does not add a separate application-layer end-to-end encryption protocol to local photo and control traffic. Access to the local connection and group should therefore be limited to people you trust. No method of local transmission or device storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Children
Lemera is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us by email, contact lemera@meroviq.com.
14. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as Lemera changes or as required by applicable law. An updated version will be posted on this site with a new version number and effective date.

Supplemental Notice for California Residents
This section applies to California residents to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”), applies to Meroviq.
Categories of personal information
Current-group photos, local group metadata, block state, and session reports are processed locally between participating devices and are not collected by Meroviq on a cloud server. Personal information Meroviq may directly hold generally consists of support emails and their contents if a user contacts us.
Purposes
Information processed locally by Lemera is used to provide the group camera, photo sharing, blocking, and session moderation features described in this policy. Personal information received directly by Meroviq may be used to respond to inquiries, comply with legal obligations, maintain support records, and protect our rights.
Sale or sharing
Meroviq does not sell personal information and does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Sensitive personal information
Lemera is not designed to collect precise geographic location, health information, government identifiers, payment card numbers, or advertising identifiers. Certain older Android versions may require location permission for local hotspot functionality, but Lemera does not use that permission to determine, collect, store, or share precise geographic coordinates.
California privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, California residents may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, and exercise other applicable rights regarding personal information Meroviq holds, without unlawful discrimination for exercising those rights. Requests may be submitted to lemera@meroviq.com.
Where group data or photos exist only on participating devices, Meroviq cannot access or remotely delete them. Users can manage local participation, blocking, group membership, and saved photos through Lemera and the device Photos/Gallery app as applicable.
